We are proud to partner with the Halifax Convention Centre. In Nova Scotia, we have the unique opportunity to tell our story through food and drink, and this partnership helps share this story with visitors from here and around the world.

- Emily Haynes, Executive Director, Taste of Nova Scotia

To honour our commitment to supporting local in Nova Scotia, the Halifax Convention Centre launched our enhanced Local Pop-Up Program last year. Our Local Pop-Ups are a unique opportunity for guests to experience Nova Scotia's best artisans, crafters, food, and beverage producers without leaving the building.

For our Pop-Up Markets, the Halifax Convention Centre's Argyle Atrium transforms into a local marketplace with our partners Taste of Nova Scotia and Craft Nova Scotia. Visitors can sample, talk with, and buy products from local vendors. The program provides an authentic experience for our guests and allows them to discover the beauty of Nova Scotia's land and sea and take home the perfect souvenir.

Our local market comes to life with the help of Taste of Nova Scotia, a regional organization committed to showcasing the most exceptional local culinary products and experiences. With over 200 members, including producers, processors, and restaurants, Taste of Nova Scotia sets and maintains quality standards for food, service, and hospitality. Craft Nova Scotia, the provincially recognized craft organization, offers support and development for the quality craft movement and represents more than 1,000 members and 300 individual artisans and craft enthusiasts. With the help of these partners, the Halifax Convention Centre has turned the conventional into the unconventional. Our downtown marketplace supports and represents our province.

Craft Nova Scotia is excited to be able to showcase local makers through our partnership with the Halifax Convention Centre’s Local Program. This initiative just makes sense. It supports our craftspeople and helps contribute to the overall social, cultural, environmental, and economic sustainability of our communities.
